The Results are In: 1,000 City CEO's Say the District's Business Climate is Improving
(Washington, DC) Mayor Anthony A. Williams and Michael Stevens, President of the Washington, DC Marketing Center, today released the Center's third annual DC Business Connections report on the District's business climate. The overall survey results for 2002 are stronger than those in 2001-and stronger over the 3-year period since 2000.

DC Business Connections is the Mayor's corporate outreach and business retention program operated by the DC Marketing Center. Every year, corporate relations specialists talk with approximately 1,000 District CEO's about the business environment in the District and the business opportunities provided by the District government. At the announcement, Mayor Williams and Stevens were joined by Todd Mason, President of Atlantic Video, a 120-employee video production and transmission facility on Massachusetts Avenue, NW. "We used to be in Alexandria but we found DC to be more pro-business," Martin said. "Attractive housing and development downtown, great entertainment and a city's that open 24/7 are great recruiting tools-and made the District the natural choice for us."
