Transit Oriented Development Continues at Florida Avenue and 2nd Street NE

An RFP for LSDBEs

The District expects the selected developer to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Office of Local Business Development (OLBD) to ensure that LSDBEs participate in 35 percent or more of contracting opportunities. The developer will also be expected to enter into a First Source Hiring Agreement with the District's Department of Employment Services (DOES), which ensures the developer will use reasonable efforts to achieve a goal of 51 percent employment for District residents.

Written questions will be accepted until 4pm on Friday June 25, 2004. Completed proposals are due on Friday, July 15, 2004. Presentations (if necessary) will take place on Thursday, July 22, 2004. The bidder final selection will be announced on Friday, July 30, 2004.
