Deputy Mayor Neil O. Albert Welcomes Retailers at Retail Summit

(Washington, DC) Deputy Mayor Neil Albert welcomed nearly 100 area retailers Tuesday, March 20 during the 2007 Neighborhood Retail Summit, which was hosted by the Washington, DC Economic Partnership. Retailers from across the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia convened to discuss the future of the small, local retailers in DC. Panelists included the owners and managers of well-known, DC-based stores. The featured business owners shared first-hand experience on what it took to open a business, sustain the concepts, survive uncertain economic ties and cultivate a flourishing business.
